“Don Black went through some of his favourite rhymes, ‘Maxine’, ‘etiquette/Connecticut’, and things during the show. And he came to me as the kind of ‘car boot sale’ end of the song-writing market to see if I could recycle all of those into some sort of a song and just use them up … and somehow it just isn’t as good as ‘Love Changes Everything’.”
